In any organisation there is talent that is under–utilised. This often rests in individuals who, through career changes or breaks, have not moved into the recognised positions of the organisation.

The Leadership on the Frontline programme aims to identify and engage those who in Belbin terms are ‘suitable but not necessarily eligible’ for formal management roles.

Building on a foundation of Team Roles awareness, participants work through a number of modules that cover key management and leadership skills. Between each module programme members have the opportunity to practise and apply these skills in work situations. A key part of this approach is that these applications are made in full consultation with each participant’s manager. This manager involvement is a vital component in successful implementation of workshop learning and, so, the increased leadership contributions of people who are very suitable to make a much greater contribution within any organisation.
Key learning principles underpinning this frontline approach are variety, relevance and enjoyment plus a strong focus on drawing on the often unrecognised management and leadership experience within the group.
