Leadership Solutions was incorporated in New Zealand in October 1997 - having grown out of an alliance of two development consultancies, Aldon Learning and Alchemy Management. This amalgamation brought together many years of experience in working with clients both in New Zealand and internationally.

Its initial primary focus was on launching and delivering the Performance Leaders' Programme - an experiential, Team Roles based leadership development programme that develops the skills of circulating or shared leadership.

In 2003, Belbin Associates representation was transferred from Alchemy Management to Leadership Solutions Ltd, formally recognising it as Belbin Associates' New Zealand representative.

This representative role has added another interesting and growing dimension to our service delivery - training and supporting consultants and in-house service providers. We now run regular Belbin Facilitator accreditation programmes and provide professional and technical support for those operating their own e-Interplace Team Roles software programmes. For accredited users who do not have the e-Interplace software we provide a bureau service for producing Team Roles profiles.

In 2006, Leadership Solutions linked up with Management Learning Pty Ltd, Belbin Associates' Australian representatives, to set up Belbin Pacific. The intent of this alliance is to provide a seamless service to the growing number of clients whose business interests span Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
